To serve this mission, and as a way to amplify human interaction, we’ve built this platform to create, collect and share video challenges that shows creativity, ingenuity, positivity and sometimes a bit of silliness.
2009 - Twestival Campaign
Canadian entreprenuer Amanda Rose launched the first Twestival which was the first fundraising campaign leveraging the virality of the social media particularly Twitter and had successfully raised $264,000 from all over the world.
2012 - Anti-Bullying Challenge
A 10 years old boy, Gerry Orz in United States California decided to produce, direct, write and star in his own short movie, called "Day of Silence"on YouTube to help bring attention against bullying, which inspired a new bill in California proclaiming 12/12/12 Bullying Prevention Day.
2012 - Cinnamon Challenge
The Cinnamon Challenge was a food challenge which has growing in popularity on the internet but yet it was also posing some health risks. It asked the participants to swallow a spoonful of ground or powdered cinnamon without drinking any water, which may caused health risks such as, throat irritation, breathing difficulties and risk of collapsed lung.
2013 - Boston Strong
Just a few hours after the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings, two college students Nick Reynolds and Chris Dobens created Boston Strong shirts with hopes of selling 100. They were wrong. The shirts were a hit, selling 37,000 in their first week. All of the proceeds from their tees are donated to The One Fund, a charity put in place to help the victims.
2013 - Harlem Shake Challenge
The "Harlem Shake" was first featured as the opening segment in a video by George Miller under the moniker of YouTube user "DizastaMusic". Later on, five teenagers from Australia, using the name TheSunnyCoastSkate, replicated this segment in their own video, which quickly gained popularity and later on it spreaded many others to do their own version of "Harlem Shake" videos from all over the world.
2014 - The Ice Bucket Challenge
One of the most popular viral challenge in our time, "The Ice Bucket Challenge", also called "The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge" gone massively viral on social media during July-August 2014. Pete Frates, a Boston College alumnus who was diagnosed with ALS in March 2012 and his friend, Pat Quinn, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2013, are credited for the origin creator of the challenge. As well, later on another friend of Frates, Corey Griffin, has also been credited as a "co-founder" of the challenge. The Ice Bucket Challenge was a super successful campaign which had yielded over 2.4 million tagged videos circulated in Facebook alone, among other social platforms.
2015 - Don't Judge Challenge
The Don’t Judge challenge were trying to attempt to put an end to body shaming with the hashtag #dontjudgeme. However, the challenge were backfired by some social media users argued that those who participate in the challenge are in fact ridiculing those who have acne, glasses, or other features that don't meet today's standards of exceptional beauty.
2016 - Mannequin Challenge
The Mannequin Challenge was a viral Internet video trend which became popular in November 2016, in which people remain frozen in action like mannequins while a moving camera films them, often with the song "Black Beatles" by Rae Sremmurd playing in the background. The Mannequin Challenge was believe originated by a a high school student named Emili (@thvmelanin_) from Jacksonville, Florida.
2017 - The Invisible Box Challenge
The Invisible Box Challenge got people to pretend stepping over a non-existent mount. The challenge was actually harder than how it looks. Texas cheerleader Ariel Olivar accepted the challenge and she showed the perfect look in her video clip, has gathered more than 220,000 likes and 112,00 retweets in two days.
2018 - The Neymar Challenge
The Neymar Challenge became a global phenomenon in 2018 World cupm, thanks to soccer star player, Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior's penchant for acting like he’s been shot anytime an opposing player brushes against him. It got people around the world trying to emulating Neymar with different funny videos rolling like the way he did.
